Calvin Johnson with a slow start: Fantasy Implications

Norm Hall

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was limited in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson had a slower start against the Arizona Cardinals than he has become accustomed to in recent weeks. Johnson has five receptions for 44 yards as the Lions trail 21-7.

Johnson hasn't suffered from a lack of targets against the Cardinals. Stafford has thrown his way 10 times, as compared to 13 targets for the rest of the team. Johnson entered the game with 1,546 yards and is gunning for the single-season receiving yardage record.

Fantasy Impact: Johnson has a tough matchup against Patrick Peterson, but no one expected him to be held under 100 yards on Sunday. At his current pace this would be the first game that Johnson hasn't gone for 100 yards since Oct. 28.

Johnson will keep getting balls thrown his way, have faith in his talent to carry him through at the end of the day.
