Shonn Greene had 68 yards rushing on 13 carries during the Jets' loss to the Titans on Monday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Shonn Greene rushed for 68 yards on 13 carries during the New York Jets' loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. Greene also had two receptions off three targets, but managed just 1 yard receiving. Bilal Powell was held to 28 yards rushing on six carries, and 15 yards receiving on two receptions.
Both running backs were held out of the end zone. Greene has six touchdowns on the season, three of which came in a Week 6 outburst. Powell scored all four of his rushing touchdowns over the course of four games heading into Week 15.
Fantasy Impact: The Jets managed a respectable 146 rushing yards as a team on 4.9 yards per carry. The passing game provided zero support, however, holding back what could have been a big night for Greene and Powell.
Neither running back can be considered a reliable fantasy options in Week 16. If they couldn't bust loose against the Titans, their prospects don't look good against a San Diego Chargers defense allowing just 3.8 yards per carry on the season.
