San Francisco 49ers K David Akers (pelvis) is officially listed as probable for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Akers was limited in practice, and while he's expected to suit up, this news may explain why the Niners worked out Nate Kaeding and Billy Cundiff this week.
Akers has struggled badly all season, making just 19-of-27 field goals and going 1-4 from 50+ yards.
Fantasy Impact: Akers used to be money, but he's fallen off a cliff this season. It's possible the Niners were taking a look at street free agents because they don't trust the 37-year-old in the playoffs.
If you're still owning Akers, you're probably not going to the fantasy playoffs anyway. Everyone else should stay away.
