Darren McFadden is likely out for Sunday's game between the Raiders and the Browns, according to reports. We break down the fantasy implications.
Darren McFadden will likely miss Sunday's game between the Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The running back was limited in practice throughout the week with a nagging ankle injury, yet there was still optimism that he would be able to play.
There is no word yet on Mike Goodson who, like McFadden, has also missed the Raiders' last three games with an ankle injury. Marcel Reece should be expected to handle the rushing load once again. He has racked up 400 total yards from scrimmage over his last three outings.
Fantasy Impact: Assuming McFadden is out, Reece becomes a solid starter in all fantasy formats. Owners will want to keep a sharp eye out for any potential developments. The Raiders play in the late afternoon set of games, so there is a chance that the Raiders pull a fast one and activate McFadden after most of the day's games have kicked off, leaving owners without a lot of their potential replacements. For now, Reece appears to be a safe play this week.
