Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports that New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (forearm) will not play in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gronk hasn't played since breaking his forearm back in Week 11.
He's been practicing on a limited basis and should be back in time for the playoffs, but it's just not happening this week.
Fantasy Impact: There has been speculation that Gronk would return for a "tune-up" performance in Week 17. That's obviously not helpful to fantasy leagues that finish their playoffs in Week 16.
There was a slim hope that Gronk would come back in time for the fantasy playoffs, but that dream is now dead. He can be dropped in re-draft leagues.
