Roddy White scores first TD, fantasy value off to a great start

USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White scored the first TD of Week 16. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

On the team's second drive, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan connected with receiver Roddy White deep down the right sideline. With one-on-one coverage, White was able to burn his man on a nine-route and Ryan put it right over his shoulder.

The play resulted in a 44-yard score.

Fantasy Analysis: This is a great start for Roddy White owners. The receiver already has 2 receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. With time still left in the first quarter, White could wind up with some big numbers by the end of the night.

It's risky playing guys early in the week, because if your guy comes out flat, you're basically a man down when the most of the games begin on Sunday. But in Roddy White's case, sometimes you can get a head start on the competition.
