Brandon LaFell injury update: Little fantasy value in Week 16

Bob Donnan-US PRESSWIRE

Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (toe) is probable for Week 16. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Carolina Panthers wide out Brandon LaFell was officially listed as probable for Sunday's game. The Panthers receiver was battling turf toe, that's kept him out of games.

LaFell did not participate in either Wednesday or Thursday's practices, but got in a full session on Friday. He should suit up for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Analysis: LaFell would be a horrible gamble by fantasy players in the finals. Despite the fact that he is not 100-percent, the Panthers offense has struggled to be consistent.

Even against the Raiders, LaFell would be a low-end flex at best. He is not an advisable fantasy play this late in the season, given the circumstances. Keep him on your bench for the remainder of 2012.
