Wes Welker (ankle) is questionable, ready for fantasy championship

Jim Rogash

New England Patriots WR Wes Welker is officially questionable for Sunday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker was officially listed as questionable by the team. The Pats pass-catcher was limited in Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's practice sessions.

Even though he has been tagged with the dreaded "Q," Welker should be ready to roll in Week 16. The Patriots will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Fantasy Analysis: Wes Welker was locked up in Week 16 by Carlos Rogers and this 49ers defense, however, the Jaguars are nowhere near that level defensively. With Welker likely to be active on Sunday, he should have a nice rebound game which should bode well for fantasy owners this late in the season.

Keep Welker in your lineup as a reliable WR1 this week.
