Patrick Smith
The Redskins rookie will start and has a great matchup on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III (knee) will return to the field in Week 16 and start against the Philadelphia Eagles, as expected. Griffin was hurt in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens and was out last week against the Browns, with Kirk Cousins getting the start and the win over Cleveland.
After one missed game, Griffin returns to try and lead the Redskins to the NFC East title in his first season. The second overall pick has 18 touchdown passes, four interceptions and six rushing touchdowns in his rookie year. Griffin had four touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first start against Philadelphia.
Fantasy Take: Mike Shanahan and Kyle Shanahan have probably encouraged RG3 to play it safe and he may do more with his arms than his legs against the Eagles. No problem, he had four touchdown passes in their first meeting.
He is a must-start for championship week.
