Chris Ivory injury: Inactive, solidifying Mark Ingram's fantasy status

The Saints backfield is a little less crowded on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

New Orleans Saints running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) is inactive on Sunday and will not play against the Dallas Cowboys. Ivory has played in just five games this season, last playing in Week 13 against the Falcons, carrying it three times for four yards. Pierre Thomas is active.

Mark Ingram, the Saints' leading rusher this season, should be the leading carrier on Sunday against the Cowboys, mixing in carries with Thomas and Darren Sproles.

Fantasy Take: Nobody in the New Orleans backfield is especially adept at making huge gains on the ground this year, though Sproles has 60 catches. The absence of Ivory adds a bit of value for Ingram, but not a whole lot.
