The Texans bottled up Adrian Peterson and stalled his quest for history. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson inched closer to the single-season record, but he has an uphill battle. Against the Houston Texans in Week 16, Peterson rushed 25 times for 86 yards, snapping his eight-game streak of 100 yards or more.

The Vikings went on to win 23-6 and bolster their chances for a Wild Card spot.

Fantasy Impact: The Texans defense bottled up Peterson for most of the day, holding him to a measly 3.4 YPC. He now has to get 208 yards to break Eric Dickerson's 2,105 yard record.

Despite the relatively low numbers today, Peterson finishes as the unquestioned MVP of the fantasy season. He'll be the first man off the board in many fantasy drafts next August.
