Darren Sproles comes up big for fantasy owners in Week 16

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Darren Sproles had arguably his best game of the season on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Darren Sproles rushed for 48 yards on nine carries in Week 16 against the Cowboys. He also caught seven passes for 104 yards on 10 targets out of the backfield from Drew Brees.

Sproles didn't find the end zone this time around, but his yardage total marked a season-high.

Fantasy Impact: His nine carries also set a season-high. Obviously he does the most damage in the passing game, but Sproles provided plenty of yards altogether in Dallas.

The Saints face the Panthers in Week 17. Last time Sproles took on Carolina he caught 13 passes for 128 yards. If you are heading to the fantasy championship next week in your league, you'll want to have Sproles in the starting lineup.
