Russell Wilson with strong fantasy performance in first half

USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has thrown for two first half touchdowns as the Seahawks got off to a big lead over the 49ers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson led the Seahawks to a 28-6 halftime lead over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Wilson is 8-for-9 with 98 yards passing, two touchdowns and an interception. He also has four carries for 14 yards.'

Wilson hit Marshawn Lynch on a nine-yard pass late in the first quarter to put Seattle ahead 14-0. Late in the second quarter he found Anthony McCoy for a six-yard score.

Fantasy Impact: Wilson hasn't thrown for more than two scores since Nov. 4 against the Vikings. He is certainly on pace to get at least three TD passes on Sunday, the only thing holding him back is the large lead that might cause the Seahawks to turn to the run in the second half.

Judging from the last two weeks, it doesn't seem like Seattle is going to slow things down just because they have a big lead. Wilson should build on his stats in the second half.
