Wes Welker has another strong game for fantasy owners

Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker had a great game in Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker caught 10 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in Week 16. His performance helped lift the Patriots to a 23-16 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Welker caught a two-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter that gave New England the cushion they needed to win. This was Welker's fourth game this season with 10 or more receptions and he now has 110 catches on the year.

Fantasy Impact: Welker is the Patriots most reliable fantasy receiver, particularly in PPR leagues where he is one of the top receivers in the league. After two substandard performances, Welker came through in a big way in Week 16.

If your league has its championship in Week 17, feel confident with Welker in your lineup. He caught 12 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown the first time he played the Dolphins this season.
