Vernon Davis dealing with 'minor' concussion after Week 16: Fantasy implications

Stephen Brashear

San Francisco 49ers tight Vernon Davis has a "minor" concussion following Sunday night's loss to Seattle, according to coach Jim Harbaugh. We break down the fantasy implications.

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis suffered a minor concussion in Sunday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, coach Jim Harbaugh said after the game. Davis took a big hit late in the first quarter from Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor while trying to make a catch near the end zone.

Davis, who did not return to the game, finished with one catch for 27 yards. His status for Week 17 against the Arizona Cardinals has not been determined.

Fantasy Impact: Davis has had just one catch in each of the last three games for the 49ers and is now not a lock to play in Week 17.

Fantasy owners setting lineups in Week 17 should monitor this situation as the week goes along and starting looking for a Plan B.
