Calvin Johnson gets chance to atone for poor fantasy outing against Bears

USA TODAY Sports

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was held to his lowest yardage total of the season in Week 7 by the Chicago Bears. We break down the fantasy implications.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has a chance to make up for his lowest yardage total of the season in Week 17 against the Chicago Bears. Johnson was limited to just 34 yards on three catches in the loss to Chicago. Since that meeting, Brad Biggs of The Chicago Tribune points out that Johnson has made 79 catches for 1,300 yards.

Johnson had 11 catches for 225 yards in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons to break Jerry Rice's single-season receiving yards record.

Fantasy Impact: The Lions did a great job getting/forcing the ball to Johnson in Week 16 and will likely try and make sure he gets to 2,000 yards for the season.

Fantasy owners setting lineups for this week should start Johnson with confidence.
