Peterson missed practice to nurse his injuries before this weekend's game.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is expected to sit out the team's practice on Wednesday according to Tom Pelissero of ESPN.

Peterson is dealing with abdomen and groin injuries. He has been missing practices occasionally this season but hasn't missed a single game so far in 2012. Peterson will undoubtedly play on Sunday as he needs just over 200 yards to break Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record.

Fantasy Impact: Adrian Peterson has been a fantasy football machine in the last month and a half of the season. Part of his incredible fantasy value comes from his ability to fight through injury and continue to play at an extremely high level.

Peterson has a friendly matchup on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. But matchups don't really matter to players like Peterson.
