Brian Hoyer to start for Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald's fantasy value not helped

Christian Petersen

Arizona Cardinals' Brian Hoyer will start at quarterback in Week 17. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Arizona Cardinals have had some difficulty with stability at the quarterback position. Brian Hoyer is set to start quarterback in Week 17. He will be the Cards' fourth starting passer this season, and his first task will be a daunting one at that.

On Sunday, the Cardinals will take on their division rival, the San Francisco 49ers. It could be a long day for Brian Hoyer and this Arizona offense.

Fantasy Implications: San Francisco is furious coming off a loss against Seattle. They were beat down pretty bad, and embarrassed on prime time. Their defense will be coming hard after Hoyer, which should not help wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

The big-play receiver can usual function with anyone throwing the ball in his vicinity, but Arizona has not been making it any easier for him as of recent.
