Steve Smith was held out of Wednesday's practice, fantasy stable in season finale

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith missed practice on Wednesday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Carolina Panthers wide out Steve Smith was held out of Wednesday's practice session. Even though he was listed as "did not practice," Smith was on the team's injury report with a "non-injury related" tag.

He will be fine and ready to go in Week 17. On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers will take on the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Analysis: Cam Newton and Steve Smith are 1-0 versus the Saints in 2012. They will have the opportunity to close out the season against them and since they are fighting for pride, a season sweep against the Saints would end their season on a high note.

Smith will be active on Sunday, so start him if you got him.
