Calvin Johnson returns to practice Thursday, improving fantasy value

Tim Fuller-US PRESSWIRE

After missing Wednesday's practice, Johnson was back on the field for Thursday's

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson returned to practice on Thursday, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Johnson missed practice on Wednesday with a sore knee, but that has been standard procedure for the star wideout over the last month and a half. He likely needed some rest after racking up 225 receiving yards on Saturday night to break Jerry Rice's single-season record.

Fantasy Impact: Calvin Johnson missing practice is not a huge deal. He is a veteran player who know his assignments. Wednesday was likely a maintenance day for Megatron, as he returned to practice the next day.

Be sure to start Johnson as he continues his surge towards 2,000 yards, which would be an incredible feat.
