Mark Sanchez to start for Jets in Week 17, fantasy value still low

Jeff Zelevansky

The craziness of the Jets' quarterback situation continues.

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has officially named Mark Sanchez the starting quarterback for the team's Week 17 game against the Buffalo Bills, the coach said in a press conference Thursday.

Last week's starter, Greg McElroy experienced headaches during the team's weight lifting session on Thursday morning and underwent concussion tests. He was not cleared to play on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: If you were counting on any of the Jets' quarterbacks to carry your fantasy football team, I doubt you made it very far. New York has struggled at the position all season long.

After being benched, Sanchez gets another shot to prove himself. Meanwhile, Tim Tebow still can't find his way onto the field.
