Brandon Pettigrew returns to limited practice, fantasy value still low

Nick Laham

Pettigrew is likely to miss his third straight game on Sunday.

Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew returned to a limited practice on Friday, according to the team's official website.

Pettigrew is dealing with an ankle injury. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday and is listed as doubtful on the team's injury report. If he misses Sunday's game, that would make three straight games misses for Pettigrew to close out the season.

Fantasy Impact: Brandon Pettigrew has proven to be a fantasy football scrub this season. He doesn't have a whole lot of fantasy value going forward due to his inability to stay on the field and lack of involvement in the offense.

If Pettigrew is your fantasy tight end, you need to find another option for Week 17.For more fantasy info, head over to the SB Nation Fantasy War Room 4-8:30 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Check out SB Nation's own Fantasy Football game, Pick 6!
