US PRESSWIRE
San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore carried the ball 23 times on Sunday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.
San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore was carried the ball 23 times on Sunday versus the St. Louis Rams. The 49ers feature back finished with 58 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Gore scored San Francisco's only touchdown of the day. Despite his efforts, the 49ers were handed their third loss of the 2012 NFL season.
Fantasy Analysis: Frank Gore has been a solid No. 1 fantasy back this year. On a physical and efficient run-first offense, Gore receives plenty of touches. While 58 yards on 23 carries is not very good, Gore made up for it with a 1-yard TD run.
Continue to ride Gore for the rest of the fantasy year, including next week's match-up against the Dolphins first-rate run D. He brings consistency and a high ceiling.
