Stevie Johnson had just two receptions for 18 yards during the Bills' win over the Jaguars on Sunday, but he was able to find the end zone on a 13-yard pass in the third quarter. We break down the fantasy implications.
Stevie Johnson had two receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown during the Buffalo Bills' win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. He led the Bills with five targets in a sloppy late-season game at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Johnson's touchdown reception was his first since Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. He is on pace for his fewest touchdowns since catching none during the 2009 season. Johnson could also finish with less than 1,000 yards receiving for the first time since that season. He has 53 receptions for 687 yards on the year.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson hasn't been bad by any means this season, but after back-to-back big seasons, fantasy owners are justifiably disappointed. Thank goodness he found the end zone Sunday, or owners would have had to deal with a major hole in their lineup, just in time for the playoffs.
Johnson is going to be a risky starting fantasy option going forward. The Bills will be playing three of their final four games at home, and will have to contend with potentially nasty weather at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
