Cecil Shorts had seven receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown during the Jacksonville Jaguars' loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Shorts led all players with 12 targets from quarterback Chad Henne.
Shorts has now caught a touchdown in four consecutive games. His seven catches were his most since hauling in eight in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. Shorts now has seven touchdown receptions on the season.
Fantasy Impact: Shorts has moved into solid WR2 territory. He could have put up better yardage against the Bills, but the weather was ugly and he has gone over 100 yards in three of his last six outings. Henne has been locked into the wideout since taking over the starting quarterback job.
Next week's matchup against the New York Jets isn't a good one on paper, but Shorts still deserves consideration as at least a Flex option in standard fantasy formats.
