US PRESSWIRE
Brent Celek had seven receptions for 73 yards during the Eagles' loss to the Cowboys on Sunday night. We break down the fantasy implications.
Brent Celek had seven receptions for 73 yards during the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. He was targeted a team-high eight times, but couldn't do enough to help the Eagles avoid an eighth-straight loss.
Celek's seven receptions were his most since catching eight passes in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. He failed to record a touchdown catch for a seventh-straight outing.
Fantasy Impact: Celek has been a pretty consistent fantasy tight end for owners this season (though he was coming off a season-low two receptions in Week 12). His inability to find the end zone hampers his value in standard formats, however. Celek should be considered a low-end starter in PPR leagues, and a decent backup otherwise. With fantasy playoffs underway, there is chance he doesn't see your starting lineup the rest of the year.
