Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has moved into Phase 3 of his recovery from the concussion he suffered against the Washington Redskins on Nov. 18. McCoy was in Phase 1 last week, so this is a step in the right direction, but Michael Vick has been stuck at Phase 4 for two weeks, so it is no indication that McCoy is close to returning.
Bryce Brown has been filling in nicely in McCoy's absence and will continue to start at running back until McCoy is cleared to return.
Fantasy Impact: If McCoy does return he is likely to share carries with Brown. McCoy has 750 yards and two touchdowns rushing in 10 games with 235 yards and three touchdowns receiving. Brown has rushed for 347 yards and four touchdowns in the last two weeks.
Brown has established himself as a legitimate fantasy option, having already had two better games than McCoy has had all season. If McCoy returns it could make for a sticky situation in the Eagles backfield.
