Santonio Holmes hopes to start running in April: Fantasy implications

Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE

Santonio Holmes is making steady progress in his Lisfranc injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes (foot) told reporters that he hopes to start running again sometime in April. Holmes went down for the year back in October with a Lisfranc injury. This kind of injury takes a long time to come back from--even longer than ACL tears these days--so Holmes is still a long-shot to be ready for training camp.

Holmes finished the season with 20 catches for 272 yards and one TD.

Fantasy Impact: Obviously Holmes isn't useful to re-draft owners anymore, but keeper/dynasty owners should be closely watching his rehab, as he's still a valuable fantasy asset when healthy.

We'll monitor his progress over the long offseason and keep you posted on updates.
