With many players resting or injured, Forte is a good play. We break down the fantasy implications.
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte (ankle) is active in Week 17, as expected. The Bears need to beat the Lions in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. Forte was held out of Wednesday practice and was limited on Thursday, but was expected to play in this critical matchup for Chicago.
In Week 16 against the Cardinals, Forte ran for 88 yards and scored a touchdown. He had 22 carries for 96 yards against the Lions earlier this season.
Fantasy Take: It's Week 17, so if you're still playing fantasy football you don't have many choices. Forte is a good running back playing in a must-win game, so even if he's a bit banged up and has only scored four touchdowns on the year, he is a must-start.
