Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte put together one of his best performances of the season in Week 17 as the Bears beat the Detroit Lions, 26-24. Forte carried the ball 24 times for 103 yards and a touchdown and added two receptions for 21 yards as well.
It was the third 100-yard game of the season for Forte, who ended the year with 1,094 yards and five touchdowns rushing. Forte had solid numbers on the ground, but had the worst receiving season of his career with 44 receptions for 340 yards.
Fantasy Impact: For those of you who play their championship in Week 17, Forte came through when it mattered most. He ended his season playing some of his best football of the season, putting up solid stats in each of the last five weeks.
It seems as if Forte is a pretty consistent fantasy player at this point in his career. Expect him to put up similar stats next year.
