Christian Ponder went 16-for-28 passing for 234 yards and three touchdowns during the Minnesota Vikings' win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Ponder found Jarius Wright, Adrian Peterson and Michael Jenkins for scores.
After his big Week 17 outing, Ponder finishes the regular season with 2,935 yards passing and 18 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. He has gone three straight games without a pick.
Fantasy Impact: Ponder looked like a viable starting NFL quarterback this season, which is encouraging for fans of the playoff-bound Vikings. Fantasy owners didn't get much out of the second-year quarterback, however. His Week 17 performance was arguably the best of his career. Ponder should be targeted as a backup quarterback in standard formats next season.
