DeAngelo Williams rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns during the Panthers' win over the Saints on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
DeAngelo Williams had 21 carries for 210 yards and two touchdowns to help the Carolina Panthers defeat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Williams started once again in place of the injured Jonathan Stewart and recorded a career performance.
Williams played very well to close out the regular season, rushing for at least 4.2 yards per carry in three out of his final five outings. He finished with seven total touchdowns on the year.
Fantasy Impact: The argument can be made that Williams is one the most physically-talented running backs in the NFL. He hasn't put up big numbers consistently, thanks to injuries and a timeshare with Stewart, but he has averaged 5.0 yards per carry in four of five seasons entering 2012. There is plenty to like as a mid to late-round flier in fantasy drafts next season, just make sure you don't over-spend.
