Maurice Jones-Drew injury update: Scratch on Wednesday, fantasy season in the books

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is "very questionable" for Sunday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew will not practice on Wednesday, via Jessica Blaylock. Jags head coach Mike Mularkey referred to MJD as "very questionable" for Week 14.

On Sunday, the Jaguars will host the New York Jets -- a team they might be able to defeat without the services of Jones-Drew.

Fantasy Analysis: There should be no reason for Jones-Drew to be rushed into the lineup if he's not ready. This Jaguars are not contenders this year, and it would be unwise to risk any further setbacks with their best player.

Montell Owens is expected to get the start for the Jaguars this Sunday. With Rashad Jennings (concussion) still sidelined as well, Owens could see the bulk of the work against the Jets. Maurice Jones-Drew was a wasted draft choice for countless fantasy owners in 2012.
