Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE
Carolina Panthers WR Louis Murphy will start on Sunday. We breakdown the fantasy implications.
Carolina Panthers wide out Louis Murphy will get the start in Week 14, via the Charlotte Observer. With Brandon LaFell sidelined by a bad case of turf toe, it seems Murphy will get his opportunity to see some time opposite Steve Smith.
The Panthers will see the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, in a tough divisional match-up. The Falcons have been rolling this year, so it will be on Murphy to help the Panthers get going offensively.
Fantasy Analysis: Even though Murphy will be starting, he might not be worth risking in the fantasy playoffs. He is a long-shot to get points. The likely benefactor from LaFell's absence should be TE Greg Olsen.
The wide receivers in Carolina have not been shining fantasy stars this year, so it would be unwise to expect much from Murphy. He is a very low-end flex, if anything, it Week 14.
