Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley was not expected to play on Thursday night with wrist and hip injuries, but then again he wasn't expected to still be productive at the age of 36, having his best season since 2007. He pulled out another surprise this week and is active against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night football.
Stokley has 36 catches for 449 yards and five touchdowns in eleven games this season. A teammate of Peyton Manning for four years in Indianapolis, where he had his career-best season in 2004 with 1,077 yards and 10 touchdowns, he's once again befriended the veteran quarterback with a share of targets that nobody saw coming. He has at least two catches in every game he has played in and has caught two touchdowns in his last three games.
Fantasy Take: Stokley only rates as perhaps a fill-in for a TE/WR spot or low-end flex play, but he's actually rather dependable for what you get. He also raises the value of Manning and perhaps dings the value of Eric Decker and Jacob Tamme.
