Who the heck is Kevin Elliott?
Cecil Shorts did not practice all week and he has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets. He may be able to return next week and Kevin Elliot is expected to start in his place.
Shorts was one of the biggest out-of-the-blue surprises this year and currently has 43 catches for 824 yards and seven TDs. Shorts had 20 catches in his last four games and scored in each games, too.
Fantasy Impact: It's a tough blow for Shorts' owners owners and they'll have to hope he's able to return next week. He should not be cut in the vast majority of circumstances.
Kevin Elliott steps in and saw six targets in Sunday's loss to the Bills in limited action. This might see nuts, but Elliot could have some value on Sunday. The Jets have some vulnerable spots in their secondary and Elliott might be able to get open for double-digit targets. Antonio Cromartie will likely be on Justin Blackmon, so Elliott might be able to take advantage of Kyle Wilson or Ellis Lankster in some three-wide sets. Heads up, deep league owners.
