C.J. Spiller is expected to play in Sunday's game between the Buffalo Bills and the St. Louis Rams. He was listed on the Bills' injury report with a shoulder injury, but was never actually limited in practice. He was designated as probable on Friday.
Spiller is still averaging a ridiculous 6.6 yards per carry on the season. Last week he had 14 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown, but still took a back seat to Fred Jackson, who had 25 carries for 109 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Two weeks ago, head coach Chan Gailey named Spiller the Bills' starting running back, and all was well. Spiller produced, picking up 107 yards on 14 carries, but the next week the Bills went back to a timeshare favoring Jackson.
Spiller should still be considered a viable Flex option, but he isn't an RB1 like he probably would be if only he could take control of the backfield for himself. At least he has a good matchup this week against a Rams defense that has given up 15 rushing touchdowns on the year.
