Beanie Wells is expected to play for the Cardinals on Sunday against the Seahawks despite being limited in practice due to a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Beanie Wells is expected to play for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Wells was limited in practice throughout the week due to a nagging knee injury.
Wells was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, clouding his status. If he plays, he should handle most of the rushing workload for Arizona. He hasn't been very effective this season, however, averaging just 2.4 yards per carry.
Fantasy Impact: Wells' fantasy value is capped by playing in a Cardinals offense that appears to have little chance to provide air support with rookie Ryan Lindley under center. You should avoid starting the oft-injured running back if you can afford to, as he goes up against a talented Seahawks defense that should be geared up against the run. If you do need to play Wells this week, be sure to double check his status before his late afternoon game kicks off.
