Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

Maurice Jones-Drew and Rashad Jennings have been ruled inactive by the Jaguars for Sunday's game against the Jets, giving Montell Owens the start. We break down the fantasy implications.

Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) and Rashad Jennings (concussion) have been ruled inactive for Sunday's game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets. As a result, Montell Owens is expected to start out of the Jags' backfield.

Owens saw his first carries of the season last week against the Buffalo Bills after Jennings was knocked out of the game. He rushed seven times for 29 yards and had one reception for 11 yards.

Fantasy Impact: Owens is essentially the Jaguars' No. 4 running back -- Jalen Parmele was placed on injured reserve last month -- so it would be unfair to expect huge numbers. That said, Owens could be productive against a Jets defense that is giving up 4.3 yards per carry. He should see plenty of touches, because at this point the Jaguars have no one else.
