Cam Newton is off to a fast start against the Falcons. Through the second quarter, he is 17-for-25 passing for 178 yards and a touchdown, with 45 yards rushing. We break down the fantasy implications.
Cam Newton is off to an excellent start during Sunday's game between the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons. Through the first half, he is 17-for-25 passing for 178 yards and a touchdown, with 45 yards rushing.
Newton found Greg Olsen in the end zone for his touchdown pass in the first quarter. He accounted for seven total touchdowns over his previous two games.
Fantasy Impact: Newton has been disappointing for fantasy owners this season, but he is finally coming alive just in time for the start of the fantasy playoffs in a lot of leagues. With at least 40 yards rushing in each of his last three games, Newton is producing yards every which way. He should be considered a solid fantasy starter in just about every format going forward.
