Doug Martin has over 100 yards rushing and a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's game between the Buccaneers and the Eagles. We break down the fantasy implications.
Doug Martin has 116 yards rushing and a touchdown on 25 carries nearing the end of Sunday's game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Martin also has three receptions, albeit for a paltry four yards.
Martin is having a stellar rookie season, but he had struggled lately. In his last two outings prior to Sunday, he failed to surpass 60 yards rushing, or 100 total yards of offense.
Fantasy Impact: Sunday's outing highlights why Martin has become a must-start fantasy option. While he can occasionally have quiet outings, his big-play ability makes him a threat to put up great numbers regardless of the matchup. Martin is in the midst of rewarding fantasy owners, and he should continue to with the New Orleans Saints on deck for Week 15.
