New Orleans Sains quarterback Drew Brees failed to throw for a touchdown in the first half against the New York Giants. We break down the fantasy implications.
New Orleans Saints quarerback Drew Brees failed to throw for a touchdown in the first half against the New York Giants. Brees went 11-for-17 with 126 yards passing and the Saints trail the Giants 21-13 at the half.
Brees broke his record streak of games with a touchdown pass last week when he failed to throw a score against the Atlanta Falcons. His slump seems to have carried over to Week 14, as he has failed to find his way back into the end zone. Brees had thrown 31 touchdowns through the first 11 games of the season.
Fantasy Impact: Brees hasn't been particularly bad, he just hasn't thrown for a touchdown in three consecutive halves of football. Brees had thrown for multiple touchdowns in 10 of the first 11 games of the season, but now is struggling to lead the Saints into the end zone.
This slump can't continue for too much longer, Brees and the Saints will keep throwing the ball in the second half and chances are he'll get back into the end zone.
