Owner Jerry Jones is downplaying chances of WR Plaxico Burress joining the Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is dismissing speculation that free-agent WR Plaxico Burress will end up in Dallas. Jones said after practice on Thursday night that the idea of bringing Burress to the Cowboys is not something has been discussed internally at all. He did add, however, that the Cowboys may look at other options later in camp once they have evaluated the younger receivers they have now. Dallas plays Oakland in the preseason on Monday.

Analysis: The Cowboys make want to look at other options later in camp, but from a fantasy perspective there is no reason to look beyond Dez Bryant and Miles Austin from the Dallas receiver corps. Burress might be an intriguing No. 3 option for Dallas, but it's nothing more than speculation at this point. Worry about Burress if he signs a contract, but don't pick him now because you think he will eventually end up in Dallas.
