Giants WR Victor Cruz says he could be even better this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz says he thinks he could be even better this season because he's getting better at reading defenses. Cruz tells Ralph Vacchiano of The New York Daily News that he's having an easier time finding openings this season. Cruz caught 82 passes for more than 1,500 yards last season and scored nine touchdowns.

Analysis: If this is true, this could be bad news for teams playing the Giants and great news for Cruz fantasy owners. He was one of Eli Manning's favorite targets last season and made a number of big plays for the Super Bowl champions. Defenses will probably be a bit more prepared for him this year, but there is no reason to think he won't get plenty of chances to make an impact every Sunday. The fact that he's playing for a long-term contract probably won't hurt either.
