Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden was the focal point of the team's offense on Monday night, breaking off big gains rushing and receiving. We break down the fantasy implications.
Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden was the focal point of the team's offense on Monday night, breaking off big gains rushing and receiving. McFadden was only in the game for the team's first possession but he managed to collect 20 yards on two rushing attempts and gained 18 yards on his lone reception. Carson Palmer and the rest of the passing offense didn't look sharp, so McFadden was a welcome bright spot for the Radiers' offense.
Analysis: Darren McFadden is already an elite fantasy football option, and Monday night's performance only further validated that. He has never played a full season in his career, which is the biggest concern his fantasy owners will have this season. McFadden is one of the most talented running backs in the NFL, and if he stays healthy this season, he could push his way towards the top of the running back rankings on a weekly basis.
