Cleveland Browns Injury Report: Ben Watson, Travis Benjamin Likely Out Vs. Packers

Tight end Ben Watson and rookie Travis Benjamin are among the Browns players likely out for Thursday's preseason game against the Packers. We break down the fantasy implications.

The list of Cleveland Browns' players out for Thursday's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers includes RB Trent Richardson, TE Ben Watson, TE Jordan Cameron, WR Travis Benjamin, DE Frostee Rucker, DT Phil Taylor, DT Scott Paxson, LB D'Qwell Jackson, LB Scott Fujita, CB Dimitri Patterson and S Usama Young. WR Mohamed Massaquoi and DE Marcus Benard may play, according to the SB Nation blog Dawgs By Nature.

Analysis: In terms of fantasy relevant, non-IDPs, Richardson, Watson, Benjamin and Massaquoi are the big names here. You can read more about Richardson here. It's unclear what is wrong with Watson. The reason for his absence is undisclosed, but his season was cut short by a concussion last season so the Browns could be taking extra precautions. Benjamin sat out practice Tuesday due to soreness. The speedy rookie could work his way into a productive role as the season goes on, but is probably much too raw to warrant consideration in fantasy drafts. Massaquoi is likely to play Thursday after returning to practice Tuesday from what was feared to be a concussion. The 6'2 receiver has the physical tools to be productive, but has been a frustrating fantasy option due to inconsistent quarterback play and poor hands.
