Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchack plans on doubling the workload for RB Chris Johnson in tonight's preseason game versus the Bucs. Johnson struggled in last Saturday's game in Seattle, gaining only 8 yards on 5 carries and dropping two passes. Johnson doesn't typically get much playing time in the preseason and didn't make much of his poor performance: "It's a thing you go through...you're going out there like basically another scrimmage."
Analysis: CJ's devil-may-care attitude would be more endearing if he wasn't coming off the worst season of his career right after signing a six-year, $56 million extension. He averaged less then 3 yards per carry in 7 games on his way to only 4 touchdowns and 3.99 YPC. The Titans badly need a viable run game again to take the pressure off potential starter Jake Locker, and while he doesn't need another record-breaking 2009 season to get back in good graces, fantasy owners would settle for his merely "good" 2010.
