Peyton Manning will play the entire first quarter when the Broncos take on the Seahawks on Saturday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Peyton Manning is expected to play the entire first quarter Saturday when the Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks, according to reports. He may play into the second quarter as well, after taking the field for just one series in the preseason opener against the Chicago Bears.
Analysis: This has to be considered a good sign for Manning. Though he looked sharp against the Bears, the fact that we didn't see him in extended action still begged the question of whether he was fully ready to see the field. More importantly, it clues us in that the Denver coaching staff is willing to let Manning potentially get roughed up a bit. His arm strength is reportedly not quite where it ideally will be, but at this point it seems as if Manning simply needs time rather than any more coddling.
