James Harrison and Casey Hampton continue to miss playing time with injuries. We break down the fantasy implications.
The Pittsburgh defense will be without linebacker James Harrison and defensive tackle Casey Hampton on Sunday night against the Colts. Harrison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee this past Wednesday, and Hampton is still working his way back from an ACL tear back in January.
Analysis: These are two key players in the Steelers defensive unit, so fantasy owners should certainly keep a close eye on both going forward. Hampton was recently taken off the PUP list. He worked his way back from this same injury twice in the past, so Pittsburgh anticipates a strong return once he hits the field again.
Those around Harrison believe he will not be sidelined for long. The 34-year-old is always praised for his work ethic, so the Steelers remain confident is his ability to get back to action. However, he missed four games last season with a broken eye socket, and has dealt with injuries more often as of late. Harrison missing time leaves a big hole in this unit.
