The Steelers will turn to Jonathan Dwyer if injuries continue to plague their running back corps. We break down the fantasy implications.
With all of the issues surrounding the running back depth chart in Pittsburgh, Jonathan Dwyer looked sharp in the Steelers second preseason game. He finished with 43 yards on eight carries, seeming to find room to run on every play.
Analysis: Dwyer has seen the injury bug affect him as well in the past, so the Steelers will have to hope at least someone can stay healthy among this group. When Dwyer is good to go, he makes the most of his workload. Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman are working their way back to action. However, there's no official word on when the two backs will be prepared for regular season games. Dwyer will take a back seat when either of the two return, but for now fantasy owners can be a little excited about what he brings to the table. He takes the bulk of the carries with Mendenhall and Redman out.
